Overview

The Supply Chain and Logistics Group (SCLG) leads the creation and analysis of supply chain maps for DTI priority commodities to support data-driven policymaking. It develops a comprehensive database capturing logistics flows, sourcing, and distribution for greater visibility and coordination. The team actively identifies critical bottlenecks and implements solutions to enhance resilience across sectors. Coverage includes basic necessities like canned goods and bread, priority agri-based commodities such as cokee, salt, and coconut, and major export drivers like electronics. These ekorts contribute to strengthening national supply chains and ensuring stable access to essential goods.

Programs

1. Create and Analyze Supply Chain Maps for DTI Priority Commodities
The team maps out end-to-end logistics flows for commodities deemed essential by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). These maps highlight suppliers, processors, distributors, and potential disruption points. The analysis helps inform both immediate interventions and long-term infrastructure or policy planning.

2. Develop a Comprehensive Supply Chain Database
The project compiles critical supply chain data into a centralized and accessible database. It includes sourcing origins, logistics modes, warehousing nodes, and demand clusters. This system supports realtime visibility, coordination, and policy development for government and industry stakeholders.

3. Identify and Address Critical Supply Chain Challenges
The team continuously assesses bottlenecks, risks, and inefficiencies affecting supply chains. This includes disruptions due to infrastructure, regulation, or market gaps. Corrective actions are coordinated with public and private partners to maintain resilience and product availability.
