Taytay Supply Chain Garments and Fashion Initiative

The Taytay Supply Chain Garments and Fashion Initiative focuses on strengthening the value chain of the garments and apparel industry in Taytay, Rizal—widely recognized as the Garments Capital of the Philippines.

Through this initiative, the DTI–Supply Chain and Logistics Group (SCLG) seeks to enhance operational efficiency, streamline logistics processes, and expand market access for local garment producers and entrepreneurs. The project supports the development of a modernized supply chain framework, enabling better coordination among producers, consolidators, distributors, and retailers.

Among its key objectives are:

  • Improving logistics connectivity and warehousing support through the proposed Supply Chain and Logistics Center (SCLC) in Taytay;
  • Linking local MSMEs to broader retail and export markets; and

  • Promoting sustainable, inclusive growth for Taytay’s garments and fashion industry through stronger partnerships with local government units, private sector stakeholders, and trade associations.

This initiative underscores SCLG’s commitment to empowering traditional industries by providing supply chain solutions that enhance competitiveness and resilience.

Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Supply Chain Initiative

The Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Supply Chain Initiative aims to build a more resilient, efficient, and innovation-driven health supply chain that ensures access to essential medicines, equipment, and technologies nationwide.

Spearheaded by the DTI–SCLG in collaboration with public and private sector partners, the initiative focuses on strengthening pharmaceutical logistics systems, local manufacturing capabilities, and regulatory efficiency across the healthcare value chain.

Key components include:

  • Establishing partnerships with pharmaceutical and healthcare companies to promote innovation, digital integration, and local production;

  • Supporting the development of the Pharma Innovation Hub—a collaborative platform that fosters research, data-driven healthcare solutions, and workforce training; and

  • Coordinating with regulatory agencies to streamline processes, improve access to essential health products, and mitigate supply disruptions.

Through this program, DTI-SCLG contributes to the country’s long-term goal of ensuring a responsive, sustainable, and secure healthcare supply chain that supports both industry development and public well-being.
