On March 27, 2026, the Philippine Multimodal Transport and Logistics Association, Inc. (PMTLAI) hosted the inaugural LSPH Huddle at the Likhang Filipino Gallery. This monthly platform enables LSPH private sector leaders to move beyond dialogue and fast-track solutions for urgent supply chain challenges. The session highlighted immediate threats to the sector, including reports of gas stations limiting sales and shifting to cash-only transactions, which risk halting deliveries entirely. In her synthesis, Undersecretary Mary Jean T. Pacheco noted the LSPH proposal for a multi-agency “cluster” approach—involving the - DOTr, DOF, DPWH, DILG, DA, DOH, and others—to be headed by the Executive Secretary to align agencies and fast-track decisions.

To safeguard the flow of goods, the LSPH suggested several critical government interventions:

- Targeted Fuel Support: Implementing a targeted fuel discount model for truck operators and exploring the designation of specific gas stations near ports to maintain operational continuity.

- Expanding “Essential Goods”: The need to expand the definition of “essential goods” to include raw materials, construction inputs, and export cargo to protect them from transport restrictions.

- Resolving Bottlenecks: Taking immediate action on logistical challenges and bottlenecks—such as truck bans, LGU ordinances, and vertical clearance limits—to help offset the impact of rising fuel prices.
